Joseph Howse is the author of six books on computer vision, with more than 13,000 copies sold through Packt Publishing. He runs a consulting business, Nummist Media, which has helped clients build an ultrasound machine, quality control tools, aerospace simulations, a number recognition system, point-of-sale systems, animal monitoring systems, mobile apps, and games. He lives in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, with a team of sacred cats who collaborate in his work on feline face detection systems.
